I would love to start this article with my great mentor’s quote Mr. Jack Canfield
Persistence is probably the single most common quality of high achievers. They simply refuse to give up. The longer you hang in there, the greater the chance that something will happen in your favor. No matter how hard it seems, the longer you persist the more likely your success.
— Jack Canfield
When you’re on a mission to make a difference in people’s lives, go beyond the apparent limits and explore unknown territory to find out what would be possible. When conditions are rigid, you go on against the odds.
Deep inside us is that burning fire that lets us know that there is a solution to everything that appears. It’s the sense of knowing that the goodness will be revealed no matter what!
It’s an unspoken law that God added to the earth and that the good, the bad, and the ugly existed from the beginning of time, and that is the beauty of life itself. Imagine if only the good existed—we wouldn’t be able to distinguish anything. That would be very boring, and perhaps that’s the reason the mix exists on our planet Earth, and that is extraordinary!
For high achievers, it is very important to see the big picture in any given situation. Doing that provides a sense of knowing what to do. The persistence comes organically and is part of high achievers’ traits. Persistence distinguishes the extraordinary thinking, being, and living from the ordinary thinking, being, and living!
It very hard for an ordinary person to comprehend and take the burden when the world is falling in front of their eyes! But a person who possesses persistance has the knowledge that there is always another way to solve any given problem.
By saying no, some of us don’t make any difference. By not finding the solution for the problem at hand, some do not make a difference. What makes a difference is the persistence that a person possesses that means he or she will never stop searching for the better solution that aligns with the law of universe.
This is what happened when my mentor, Jack Canfield, was rejected 143 times but never gave up his vision and mission until he got the “yes” at the 144th time for his Chicken Soup and the Soul book series that now has reached millions of readers! That is the extraordinary power of persistence!
This is also what happened when I went from being an attorney to a position in the law office at the Tirana City Hall, in the capital of Albania. With my passion to help as many people as possible and bring abundance to as many people as possible—well aware of how much these people, including myself, were suffering—it was my burning desire, my persistence and determination that I brought to the cause.
The need to service the citizens was at the center of the work for me and many others who were in the position to deliver the burning desires and millions of dreams of people who were thirsty and longing.
That is where leadership, passion, persistence, and determination met, and without these qualities, you could not achieve greatness and serve a greater good. We proudly fulfilled what we were trusted to do for the city and the country.
